Abstract: Soil salinization has been a severe problem which restricts the production of agro-forestry and the ecological environment improvement. Hence, studying the plant resistance to salt-alkali stress has an important significance upon how to develop and utilize salinized soil and how to produce new varieties which can resist salt-alkali stress. In this article,a summary description is given of plant responses to salt-alkali stress in morphology, physiology and biochemistry, aiming to reveal the mechanism of plant resistance to the stress.
