Abstract: Investigations were made on the various plant patterns which appeared in the decoration of the two types of gardens (the private gardens and temples) in the decoration of classical garden architecture in Yangzhou.Analysis was made of the application of plant elements in each location,their implication in the traditional culture,and the relationship between the garden style,theme and artistic conception,aiming to provide a reference for the application of plant culture in the future garden decoration design.
