Abstract:
In recent years, the impact of urbanization and human disturbance on birds has already attracted widespread attention. As the large green patches, mountain parks are of great significance for the protection of urban bird diversity. In order to reveal the present situation of bird resources in Xiamen urban mountain park and the impact of urbanization level in surrounding areas on bird diversity in mountain parks, Wanshi Mountain Scenic Area in Xiamen City and Tianzhu Mountain Forest Park in the suburbs were selected as the research areas, and the bird diversity in the two places was compared and analyzed by collecting bird observation data from January to April in 2021-2023. The results showed that: (1) A total of 154 bird species were found in the study areas, belonging to 14 orders and 45 families. Among these, 17 species were listed as national second-class protected wild birds and 5 species endemic to China. There were 93 widespread species, and the other 61 species were from the Oriental region. There were 105 resident birds, 40 winter migratory bird and 9 traveling birds. (2) Compared with suburban areas, the level of bird diversity in urban mountainous areas was lower, the seasonal variation of bird community was more homogeneous, and bird species with strong resistance to human interference were more advantageous as well. Finally, based on the analysis results, some suggestions on bird diversity protection were put forward, which will provide ideas and references for the biodiversity protection and development of urban mountain parks in the future.
