Abstract: Liangshan Prefecture is one of the high risk areas of forest fires in Sichuan Province and even in the whole China. Based on the analysis of forest fire data and meteorological data in recent 14 years, the relationship between the forest fire frequency and human factors such as anthropogenic factors, meteorological factors and vegetation types was discussed. The results showed that anthropogenic factor was the main influencing factor of forest fire in Mianning County, and the most important period for forest fire prevention was from January to March every year. The Pinus yunnanensis forest area was the crucial area for regional forest fire prevention.
