Abstract: The ecological footprint was an important method for measuring sustainable development.As the ecological footprint became increasingly mature,there were more and more application cases based on it.By reviewing the development history,the computing methods and the application were summarized for domestic ecological footprins. Also,there was a brief summary and analysis about the shortcomings of ecological footprints.At the end of the article,An outlook was made for the application development of ecological footprint model in the future.
