Abstract:
Eucalyptus is an important timber tree species in Sichuan province.Seeking snow stress resistant
eucalyptus cross combinations and plus trees are the inevitable choice for
eucalyptus breeding to cope with the climate change and expand the planting area of
eucalyptus.The progeny test forest in Yibin was used as research object.After preliminary selection by livability and the unbent rate by snow cover,the average tree height and DBH were used to choose the crossing combination,and 21 snow tolerant hybrid combinations and 90 plus trees were selected from 88 cross combinations.The results of this study would provide some cross combinations and clone materials for directive cultivation of
eucalyptus varieties with tolerance to snow and low temperature.
