Abstract:
In this study, phosphoric acid as activiting agent and leaf residual of
Cinnamomum longepaniculatum as raw material were used to prepare activated carbon, and analysis was made of the effects of solid-liquid ratio, heating rate, activation temperature and time on the characteristics of activated carbon. The results showed that the optimal processing conditions were as follows:solid-liquid ratio 1:3, activation temperature 420℃,activation heating rate 60℃·min
-1 and activation time 60 min. Under these conditions, the yield of the activated carbon produced by leaf residual of
Cinnamomum longepaniculatum was was 36.5%, the specific surface was 1 107 m
2·g
-1, the methylene blue adsorption value was 160 mg·g
-1, and the iodine adsorption value was 935 mg·g
-1.
