Abstract:
Understorey planting is a more promising development enjoying the dual, ecological and economic advantage of agro-forestry economic model. To study the impact of pear + konjack forest planting patterns on understorey soil nutrients, the soil under two kinds of pears (
Pyrus and Changji pears) forest was measured. The results showed that the total calcium(TCa) content had a significant increase in the of konjack + pear forest cultivation, but this cultivation model had no significant effect on the rest of the soil nutrients; konjack + pear planting model significantly increased available phosphorus (AP) and total potassium (TK) content in Changji pear forest soil, and yet its TCa content significantly reduced. It could be seen that understorey planting konjack in pear forest had a role in promoting the improvement of the forest soil in a way,and konjack also could bring some economic benefits. Therefore, understorey planting konjack in pear forest was a viable cropping pattern.
