Abstract:
As an important part of the global ecosystem, the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau is a sensitive area to climate change and an important ecological barrier, and the soil organic carbon stock in its forest soils has a significant impact on the global carbon cycle. This paper aims to comprehensively investigate the spatial distribution pattern and influencing factors of forest soil organic carbon storage in the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau. The common methods for estimating soil organic carbon stocks are described, and the distribution characteristics of soil organic carbon stocks in different regions of the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau are revealed. It was found that soil organic carbon stocks in the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau showed obvious spatial heterogeneity. In addition, the effects of climatic conditions, human activities and soil properties on the distribution of soil organic carbon stocks are discussed, and relevant prospects are proposed.
