Abstract:
With strong environmental adaptability,
Tamarix austromongolica is an important windbreak and sand-fixing vegetaion in arid and semi-arid areas. The protection of
T. austromongolica in transplanting way in the inundated area of Yangqu Hydropower Station, which will be built soon, has been widely concerned. In this study, the characteristics of environmental change, the growth status of transplanted
T. austromongolica, the relationship between them and their stability in time were analyzed by using the method of dendroclimatology. It was found that the climate in this area showed a trend of warming and humid, and the runoff data showed a significant increase trend after 1990. The transplanted
T. austromongolica grew well. The radial growth of
T. austromongolica was promoted by the precipitation in December of the previous year, July, August and September of the current year, but inhibited by the precipitation in March and May of the current year. The higher the temperature in August, the worse in the radial growth of
T. austromongolica. The higher the temperature in September, the better in the radial growth of
T. austromongolica. Runoff prompoted the radial growth of
T. austromongolica. The relationship between the radial growth of
T. austromongolica and environment was unstable in time.
