Abstract: Dendrocalamus farinosus (Keng et Keng F.) Chia et H. L. Fung is an excellent paper-pulp bamboo species, and is one of the main paper-making bamboo species in Yibin at present. The goal of this study was to select high yield bamboo species, and the growth adaptability was comprehensively considered. 11 clones with different geographical distribution were selected. At last, excellent clone No. 2 (found from Qilin, Xingwen) was selected through the performance of each clone under the same site condition. Its growth index was as follows: average shoot amount 17.7, DBH 5.0 cm, average height 6.7 m, average single cluster weight 17.80 kg, strong adaptability, stable performance and strong stress resistance.
