A Study of Biological Characteristics of Seed Germination of Primula sikkimensis and Primula optata

Researches were conducted on the effects of temperature,GA₃,storage time and ways on the seed germination of P. sikkimensis and P. optata through seeds germination experiment.The tesults showed that the optimal temperature for germination was 25℃/15℃ and the best effect of GA₃ concentration was 5 mg·L^-1;Different storage ways had little effect on the seed germination rate.And yet the seed germination rate would decrease along with the increase of the storage time.Besides,the decrease range of P.optata was more than that of P.sikkimensis. Suggestions were offered that seeds of P.sikkimensis should be sowed in no more than 30 days after seed collection,and P.optata should be sowed right after being harvested in practice.
