Study on the Construction of Human Comfort Index for Bamboo Forest Health Rehabilitation
-
Abstract
To address the core issues of poor universality and insufficient quantitative comparability of existing human comfort assessment indicators, and aligned with the development needs of the bamboo forest wellness industry, this study constructs a Comfort Index of Human Body for Bamboo Forest Health and Rehabilitation (CIH-BFHR) evaluation system from the "Human-Environment-Health" perspective. This system comprises five quantitative indicators: Climatic Comfort Degree, Air Cleanliness Degree, Habitat Quietness Degree, Forest Stand Elegance Degree, and Environmental Suitability Degree, with their respective weights determined via the expert questionnaire scoring method. Through empirical research on Ya'an Xishu Bamboo Sea, Yibin Shunan Bamboo Sea, and Chengdu Wangjianglou Park, and through a short-term measurement in the pilot demonstration zone of Yibin Bamboo Ecological Cultural Park, the results demonstrate that: (1) The CIH-BFHR of Yibin Shunan Bamboo Sea and Ya'an Xishu Bamboo Sea scenic areas are 79.45 and 66.45 respectively, with their health-preserving levels classified into two grades (Level 3 and Level 4). (2) the CIH-BFHR of bamboo forest trails in Wangjianglou Park (72.3) was 12.79% higher than that of forest gaps (64.1) within the same site; (3) the comfort indices of bamboo forest trails, forest gaps, and open grasslands in Yibin Bamboo Ecological and Cultural Park were 71.85, 60.95, and 52.65 respectively, indicating that the bamboo forest environment can enhance human comfort by 10% to 30%. Meanwhile, the concentration of negative oxygen ions in the bamboo forest trail is more than three times higher than that in bamboo forest gaps and on open grasslands. Further research indicates that optimizing the bamboo forest environment can increase the human comfort index increased by over 17%and significantly enhance the concentration of negative air ions. This provides quantitative foundations for the optimal design of bamboo forest recreational and wellness spaces and the development of their ecological health values, but also offers technological support for the planning and construction of bamboo forest wellness bases. It holds significant practical and strategic value for promoting the high-quality development of the bamboo forest wellness industry and the revitalization of bamboo-growing regions.
