A Study of the Distribution and Accumulation of Major Nutrient Elements in Different Densities of Eucalyptus grandis

Abstract:
In this paper,studies were made of the distribution and accumulation of major elements of 5-year old Eucalyptus grandis forest with the densities of 556 trees per hectar and 1667 trees per hectar.The results showed that:①The distribution of major nutrient element content in different organs of 2 kinds of densities was nearly the same.And the ranked order was leaf > tree trunk > big branch or branchlet > fruit > bark; ②From the distribution of nutrient elements and organic matter in the trunk,P,K,Mg and Ca content presented basically increasing along with the trunk height.And the organic matter content increased with the trunk height in low density stand,while the result was opposite in high density stand.At the same time,N content increased witn the trunk height in low density stand,but the content in high density increased after the decrease and increased at the last.③From the ditribution of biomass,the ranked ordered was tree trunk > bark or big branch > branchlet > leaf > fruit.④The accumulation of major nutrient element content in different organs of 2 kinds of densities was nearly same.Ca content was the highest in two kinds of piantations,followed by N,K,Mg and P content.Ca content was 601.78 kg per hectare in low density stand and 1 204.43 kg per hectare in high density stand.
Research on Selection of Excellent Cross Combinations and Plus trees of Eucalyptus for Snow Cover Stress

Abstract:
Eucalyptus is an important timber tree species in Sichuan province.Seeking snow stress resistant eucalyptus cross combinations and plus trees are the inevitable choice for eucalyptus breeding to cope with the climate change and expand the planting area of eucalyptus.The progeny test forest in Yibin was used as research object.After preliminary selection by livability and the unbent rate by snow cover,the average tree height and DBH were used to choose the crossing combination,and 21 snow tolerant hybrid combinations and 90 plus trees were selected from 88 cross combinations.The results of this study would provide some cross combinations and clone materials for directive cultivation of eucalyptus varieties with tolerance to snow and low temperature.
A Study of Superior Seedling Selection of Paeonia ostii

Abstract:
The selection method and standard of the superior seedlings were studied and based on the datum with 3 to 5 years old Paeonia ostii,and according to the standard to select the appropriate plants to establish Paeonia ostii superior seedling nursery base,aiming to provide excellent germplasm resources for large-scale cultivation of Paeonia ostii.The results showed that:①heights and basal diameter increments among 3~5 years old Paeonia ostii were significantly different,and difference in basal diameter growth was more than in the height of 3 and 5 years old seedlings.②Height and basal diameter increment of individuals among the same age were in positive correlation,but only those of 5 years old seedlings were significant.③The average height and average basal diameter adding one point five times by standard variance selection way were used as the Paeonia ostii superior seedlings selection standard,and the 3 years old seedling selected ratio was 3.81%,4 years old seedling selected ratio was 4.57%,5 years old seedlings celeated rotion was 4.36%.④955 superior seedlings were selected by comprehensive selection way with a selection ratio of 3.91%.

Abstract:
Toona ciliate var.yunnanensis is a variation of Toona ciliate,which belongs to Meliaceae,Toona Roem.So far,there are no documents or reports about the research of its intraspecific genetic variation or diversity of Toona ciliate var.yunnanensis.Based on the predecessors,research,this article summarizes the research of phenotypic traits genetic diversity and the main problems in its genetic diversity research.In addition,it is suggested that some further research work should be done on the germplasm resources distribution and,phenotypic traits variation of Toona ciliate var.yunnanensis,aiming to ascertain the horizontal distribution and vertical distribution range and to master the rule of phenotypic distribution range and the rule of phenotypic traits variation,thus providing a scientific basis for subsequent selective breeding and germplasm resources preservation strategy.

Abstract:
Soil quality was subjected to serious threat because of long-term man-made damage and unreasonable land using.Searching for the indexes of soil quality has recently become a research focus.The traditional physicochemical indexes can not meet the need of soil quality evaluation;Therefore,searching for the indexes which can reflect the dynamic changes and distinguish the changes of soil quality has become an important research task.In this paper,comprehensive review is made on the soil quality index and soil quality evaluation in order to provide theoretical basis for the reasonable utilization and the protection of cultivated land.
A Study of the Ecological Security Problem of Main Forest Types in Mountain Areas in Southwest Sichuan

Abstract:
The ecological security of the mountain area in Southwest Sichuan plays and will play an important role in the sustainable development of social economy in Sichuan province.The forest ecosystem is the main body of the building the ecological protective screen in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River,and it is important to evaluate the ecological security of the main forest types.In this paper,evaluation is made on the ecological security status of main forest types in Panzhihua City,Liangshanyizuzizhou Prefecture(except Muli county),and Yaan city (Hanyuan county and Shimian county) on the basis of the ecological pressure index of forest land and national ecological security evaluation standard.Finally,some control measures for protection forest ecosystem are put forward in this paper.

Abstract:
Huoerzhanggu National Wetland Park is located in an important ecological division in China.Its wetland resource is typical and unique,and its environment is of fine quality.Cultural landscapes with local features also add to the distinctiveness of this park.Therefore,analysis was made of the types,area,biodiversity,landscapes and cultural resource of the wetland in Huoerzhanggu; based on analytical result,the wetland resource of the park was evaluated as "excellent".The results showed that (1) the park had fine ecological environment,(2) the wetland ecosystem here was primitive and diverse,(3) the plants and animals in the wetland were rich in species and abundance and were ornamentally valuable,and (4) there was a strong cultural atmosphere of Tibetan villages.

Abstract:
In this paper,taking No.318 national road in Luding as an example,according to altitude,climate and site-conditions,the whole section was divided into three greening sections,and local tree species and other species through planting several years were chosen as good plant varieties for greening.Finally the technical difficulties of the road greening were also summarized in the dry-hot valleys (DHV).

Abstract:
The 45 families and 97 genera and 128 species for vegetation restoration were sorted out on the basis of the afforestation tree species selection principle and the method of analysis in arid and semi-arid regions of Sichuan province.The study found that leguminous plants in arid and semi-arid areas of Sichuan were most widely used to restore vegetation.The related research focused on dry hot valleys and dry warm valleys in Sichuan,but the study of dry temperature and Derong-Xiangcheng semi-arid areas needed to be further strengthened.
Characteristics of Atmospheric PM2.5 and PM10 Regulated by Forest Vegetation in the Tieshanping Forest Park of Chongqing

Abstract:
From August 2014 to July 2015,taking road monitoring plot in the Tieshanping Forest Park in Chongqing as the contrast,characteristics of atmospheric PM2.5 and PM10 under the regulation of different tree species,forest stands and structural characteristics were monitored by the High Precision Hand Held PM2.5 (CW-HAT200).The results showed that variations of atmospheric PM2.5 and PM10 in the park road and under canopies of seven tree species were larger.Compared with concentrations of atmospheric PM2.5 and PM10 in the park road,each monitored tree species had different degrees of ability to reduce atmospheric particulate matter,and Liquidambar formosana had a stronger ability to reduce atmospheric particulate matter,but the ability of Phyllostachys heterocycla was weaker.The concentration of atmospheric PM2.5 and PM10 under the regulation of different forest stands was in the order of conifer-broadleaf forest > broadleaved forest > coniferous forest.The concentrations of atmospheric PM2.5 and PM10 of different vertical structures from forest stands all were in the order of tree layer > tree and shrub layer > tree,shrub and herb layer.On the contrary,the ability to reduce atmospheric particle matter all was in the order of tree,shrub and herb layer > tree and shrub layer > tree layer.Therefore,forest stand with a complete spatial structure (tree,shrub and herb layer) would have a stronger ability to reduce atmospheric particulate matter.

Abstract:
Based on the 20 open-pollinated families in the third-generation seed orchard of Cunninghamia lanceolata from the forest farm of Fujian province,the growth traits of 2-year-old half-sib progeny were investigated and analyzed in Hongya forest farm of Sichuan province.The results indicated that the average seedling height and variation coefficient were 14.72 cm and 20.30%,respectively; the average ground diameter and variation coefficient were 3.11 mm and 20.91%,respectively.And there existed significant differences in seedling height and ground diameter among different families.The family heritability of seedling height,ground diameter was 0.886 and 0.874,indicating the great family heritability for growth traits.4 excellent families were selected on the basis of comprehensive assessment.The average tree height was 16.81 cm,the genetic gain 11.00%,and the average ground diameter was 3.47 cm,the average genetic gain was 9.05%.The selected excellent families could be reserved for further test and assessment.

Abstract:
In recent years,the growth environment of Cystoathyrium chinensis Ching has been seriously affected because of the destruction of human interference and geological disaster activities.The species is on the verge of extinction.For the protection and propagation of it,tissue culture propagation techniques were used to turn mature spores as explants.Researches were conducted on influences of spore germination by use of different sterilization,the medium and sucrose concentration.The results showed that the best sterilization was spores through 4 000 r·min-1 centrifugal prepared spore suspension,0.1% mercuric chloride solution was centrifuged for 5 min,rinsed with sterile water for 4~5 times; the best germination medium was 1/2MS+20 g·L-1 sucrose.After 90 days,the germination rate could reach 57.8%.

Abstract:
The Eucalyptus seedlings were treated by use of different fertilizer varieties with the same soil fertility and obserations were conducted on the growth situation of Eucalyptus trees.The results showed that the E.robusta treated by biogas fertilizer and mixed fertilizer grew the best and the last measurement of their tree height,DBH and volume reached the maximum value,respectively being 340.50 cm,31.55 mm,0.10456 m3,and as compared with the control,they increased by 66.02%,93.08% and 300.75%.
A Method of Sex-determination Tests of Giant Pandas

Abstract:
In this paper,SDS and nucleic acid adsorption column were used for extraction of the giant panda fecal DNA.According to the giant panda sex determination gene primers design factor,BDNF was taken as the positive control.Validation of the effectiveness of the primers was conducted for the use of fecal DNA from artificially reared giant pandas.It was showed that the results were reliable for the identification of the primers.Experiments showed that this method was convenient and reliable.
Effects of Poplar Leaf Rust on the Physiological Metabolism of Populus cathayana under Different Disease Degrees

Abstract:
Pot cultivation experiments were used to study the effects of Melampsora larici-populina on the physiological metabolism of Populus cathayana under different disease degrees,specifically on the activities of its POD,PPO enzymes,and the contents of its MDA and Chlorophyll.The results showed that the changes of physiological indexes of poplars were closely related with their disease degree.After inoculation with M.larici-populina and with the increasing of disease degrees,POD activity showed a gradient growth and reached its maximum value at the end; As compared with the control groups,PPO activity increased regularly,and there were significant differences with the control (P <0.01);As to chlorophyll content,it decreased significantly in the whole process; While the MDA content decreased slowly after a rapidly increase,and it peaked in the mid susceptible period.The correlation analysis of physiological indexes and disease degrees showed that the activities of POD and PPO were positively related to the disease degree (P<0.05; P<0.01);And the chlorophyll content was negatively related to it (P<0.01); and there was no significant correlation between MDA content and disease degrees.

Abstract:
To rationally protect and utilize the suspected new species Caltha palustris in Piankou nature reserve,investigation and analysis were made of the distribution and community characteristics of Caltha palustris by using the sampling method. The results showed that the community was mainly distributed in valley streams or wet meadows with the altitude of 2 000 m~2 300 m. The request of Caltha palustris was not high for the soil fertility, but was higher for the humidity. The plant species of the Caltha palustris community belonged to 11 genera and 9 families, which were dominated by Ranunculaceae and Urticaceae. The Caltha palustris was a dominant species in the community, and its importance value was 115, far larger than that of Cardamine macrophylla, whose importance value was 47 and was the second largest one in the community.

Abstract:
Investigations were made on the effect of typical management modes of desertification control demonstration project in typical counties (Ruoergai County and Litang County) of the typical desertification control demonstration project,aiming to sum up the experience and to provide scientific reference for the smooth implementation of desertification control projects in Northwest Sichuan. Management strategies were put forward for different degrees of sandy land. Mildly sandy land with above 40% coverage was managed by the way of the enclosure and reseeding of mixed grass and by applying proper organic fertilizen. And as for moderately sandy land with 25% to 40% coverage,and severely sandy land with 10%~25% coverage, in addition to the desertification land enclosure and reseeding grasses,the shrub should be planted for sand fixing. The way of managing extremely severe (less than 10%) desertification land needed other configurations of sand barriers.
